About Us

Collettivo Macula is a non-profit cultural association, with legal seat in Varese, Italy. It was founded in 2021 as an artistic research collective in the performing arts by Edoardo Sgambato and Priscilla Pizziol, and was formally established as an association in 2025, expanding its membership base.

Our Mission

We promote contemporary dance, somatic practices, and performing arts as tools for cultural research, education, and social cohesion. Our work starts from a transdisciplinary somatic approach, the perceiving body as a starting point for weaving together dance, theatre, visual arts, and somatic research, with particular attention to training, socially relevant research, and the cultural regeneration of spaces and communities, including rural and natural settings.
