About Us
Collettivo Macula APS is a non-profit social promotion association (Associazione di Promozione Sociale), established under Italian Legislative Decree 117/2017 (Third Sector Code), with legal seat in Varese, Italy. It was founded in 2021 as an artistic research collective in the performing arts by Edoardo Sgambato and Priscilla Pizziol, and was formally established as an APS in 2025, expanding its membership base to seven people.
Our Mission
We promote contemporary dance, somatic practices, and performing arts as tools for cultural research, education, and social cohesion. Our work starts from a transdisciplinary somatic approach — the perceiving body as a starting point for weaving together dance, theatre, visual arts, and somatic research — with particular attention to training, socially relevant scientific research, and the cultural regeneration of spaces and communities, including rural and natural settings.
