MELANCHOLIA
The world is nothing more than an aesthetic effect based on poor focus. (Hyperobjects, Timothy Morton) Melancolia is a site-specific performative installation created from the use of a thousand small white cardboard boxes. In each context it is inhabited by the body, one or multiple, in a different and specific way to the environment in which it is installed. The intent of the work is to poetically destabilise our perceptual habits through an atmospheric effect achieved through the peculiar use of light, space and sound.
